We love spring around here! The days are a little longer, the sun shines a little brighter, and even the rainy days aren’t too bad! Best of all, though, spring lets us get out of the house. Being cooped up all winter is enough to make kids and adults go nuts, am-I-right?!
Here’s a freebie activity to try inside or outside (if you’re in need for some fresh air)!
This Spring Color Search is great practice for toddlers and great review for preschoolers. Littlest kiddos can even work with a sibling so they can be involved too.
Print off a copy of the spring flowers. (Laminate them for durability!) Hand your kiddos one color at a time and instruct them to go find an item that is the same color. They can bring it back to you or stand next to the item. This is a great way to introduce different shades of color as well. Ask them to name the color or name it for them and have them repeat it.
You can also print off more than one copy of the spring flowers and use them to play memory or matching in order to practice colors some more!

What are some simple ways you practice color matching and naming with your kiddos?
Happy Spring!
