Happy Spring!
Here’s a quick game to practice sorting, comparing, and matching. This set includes 8 different butterfly pairs, 5 bird pairs, and 4 spring chick pairs.
Click on any of the pictures or scroll to the end to download the set.
Use all the cards together or choose one type to start. You can play matching games or memory games with these cards to practice all sorts of skills. They can be modified for use with your toddler or your preschooler.
Playing memory can teach your child about matching as well as help them practice one to one coorespondence. As you are playing memory or simply finding matching sets, talk about how one item is different from or the same as another. You can also encourage your child to classify or sort the items by specific traits – color, shape, type, etc. Discuss with your child as you play and point out similarities and differences so that they begin to notice.
Learning should be fun, especially when our kiddos are young. Use this freebie to make it easy AND fun!
