Change your focus
Pray for your husband
This is pretty self explanatory, but it’s pretty difficult to remain angry and annoyed at someone when you are face first before the Father praying for them. Pray for your husband’s heart, his mind, his physical body. That he would seek God and know His peace. And I love these 7 verses to pray over your spouse – such a great resource.

Schedule time
It may sound silly to schedule time to read a book, to pray, to have alone time with your spouse – but in all seriousness, if we don’t schedule the things that are most important to us we will look up one day having filled all our moments with things that weren’t as valuable.
Get in the Word
God’s Word is a double edged sword – it cuts through all the lies, emotional roller coasters, and built up grievances. It forces us to focus on our Savior and the kind of love that we should be emulating. There are so many amazing resources to help you get in the Word, no matter your schedule. I personally love Cultivate What Matters’ Write the Word Journals and I’ve also heard wonderful things about Well Watered Women’s Give Me Jesus Journal.
