1 – Baskets
I love to organize, and I love the balance of freedom and structure that baskets and bins give you. You can label a basket and toss all of one type of item in, or you can label a basket add small bins within and organize even further! Baskets hold our stuff and can make a space look more put together almost immediately. I use them inside and outside to hold everything from blankets to teaching supplies to cookie sheets and cutting boards.
2 – Outdoor Pillows (DIY)
I love being outside as much as possible. As the heat begins to die down and we go into fall, I will be able to use my little deck more. I wanted to decorate our little apartment deck with some cute outdoor pillows, but those things are crazy expensive! I decided to modify a template I found online, found a shower curtain in the clearance bin and Target, and asked my Mom for a little assistance. Within a few hours we had several pillow case covers!
— The aqua colored pillows were an impulse buy at Sam’s Club (they were only $10 for two)!
3 – Wine Bottle Tiki Torches (DIY)
We used wine bottles to decorate for our wedding, and we had a lot left over afterwards (read more on that here). I had found several tutorials on Pinterest for turning wine bottles into Tiki Torches, so we combined a few and ta-da! Here we are.
4- Scarves
I have a slight additction to scarves. They are my second favorite accessory (after earrings!), and in the cooler months I am almost always wearing one! I am still learning about all the different ways to wear them, and now that September is here I can start wearing them more often.
5- Giant Cooler Reusable Bags
These were another item I picked up at good ol’ Sam’s Club. I love how durable and large these bags are! They can hold so many groceries! I have also used them to carry picnic items, food on our recent trip to Colorado, and all 5 lunches when I would take trips with the kiddos this past summer. They’d be great to tote food or drinks to a late summer BBQ or fall campfire.
