December’s favorite things are a bit boring compared to last month… Hint…BABY!
If you missed it, be sure to check it out here.
My favorite things this month are all things I love to use while baking – and what busier baking time is there than Christmas?! I have so many great memories of my grandma and mom and I baking and of course tasting treats. Giving away baked goods and exchanging them at church is also a fond memory. I love looking for new treats to make as well as making the good old family recipes!
We got our mixer as a wedding gift, and I love it! I also love the color. For the average amount of baking that I do, this mixer is perfect. (It also whips up mashed potatoes quite nicely).

We actually received two of these bowl sets … (also as wedding gifts!!) and I am so glad that I kept both! I use them ALL THE TIME to mix, serve, and transport all kinds of things! The colors are fun, the sizes are awesome, and they are melanine (read: Anna is much less likely to break them). The only downside is that they are NOT microwaveable.

Pies are a necessity in my family at Christmas (well, at any holiday really). I love making making the whole things from scratch, so I love my pastry cutter for mixing the dough and the pastry mat for rolling it out.

This last one is more for cooking than baking, but I LOVE all my Rachel Ray Bubble and Brown Casserole Dishes! This one is my favorite and gets used the most because of it’s size (it also happens to be in my favorite color!). These dishes hold up so well, cook well, and are a breeze to clean!

These are just a few of my favorite things when it comes to baking and being in the kitchen!
